Waste sites raise £400

PEOPLE visiting recycling sites have been helping the China Earthquake Appeal.
Collections were organised at Eastbourne, Hailsham and Seaford recycling sites and members of the public along with Veolia Environmental Services' staff who operate them raised nearly £400 to help those affected in the earthquake hit region of Sichuan, China.
With the chief executive of Veolia Environmental Services UK Plc, Jean-Dominique Mallet, pledging to match pound for pound the total amount raised, this means the total raised through Veolia South Down's fundraising efforts is £800.
