THE FOLLOWING planning applications were heard by the planning and highways committee of Seaford Town Council on Thursday.A final decision on the proposals will be made at a later date by Lewes District Council:
n A LISTED building application for 25 Corsica Hall, College Road, was heard by committee members.
The plan includes the installation of secondary double glazing to all rooms.
No objections were raised to the plans but a comment was made that the i
nstallation should be unobtrusive.

n NO OBJECTIONS were made to an application for the change of use from a storage building to church meeting rooms for Seaford Independent Spiritualist Church.
The application is for 3 Warwick Road.
Councillor Rosemary Collict said, "I do know this building and think it is quite suitable for it. In addition I did think about the possible problem of parking but there's on-street parking and a car park just down the road."
Councillor Laurie Holland added that proper insulation would be needed to block any noise from music.
The committee raised no objection but added the windows should be suitable to ensure sufficient sound insulation.

n PLANS for a ground floor rear extension and loft conversion with front and rear flat roof dormers at a Seaford property have been opposed.
The application for 36 Chyngton Way was labelled 'unsightly' and was objected to on the grounds of being out of character with the property. Members also added they would prefer three separate dormers with the same fenestration as the lower windows.

n PROPOSALS for a single storey extension at the front of 3 Buckland Close raised no objections.

n PLANS for a single storey side extension at 7 Juniper Close raised no objections.
