A ROCK concert was held at the Downs Leisure Centre at the weekend in aid of the Anthony Pilcher Bone Cancer Trust.
About 60 people packed into the centre to listen to bands Radiate, Last Exit for the Lost and
Double Chemistry, who gave their time voluntarily to perform at the fundraising event.
Anthony Pilcher was just 14 when he was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma after a tumour was discovered on the bone in his leg.
The brave youngster endured treatment including chemotherapy and surgery but sadly died in October 2002 after the cancer spread.
The charity aims to make more people aware of the illness and raise money to put into research to find out what causes the illness.
The £531.50 raised from the weekend's event will go to the trust.
