PROPOSALS for a new cellphone mast in Seaford will be discussed tomorrow (Thursday) at the town council's planning and highways committee.
The plan, from Vodafone, is for a 10 metre telegraph pole with shrouded antennae and one equipment cabinet at land next to St Peter's Church in Belgrave Road.
The company does not require normal planning permission because it is below a qualifying height. But it is still required to notify the authorities and the proposal can be opposed.
The mast is opposed by Seaford Mayor Councillor Carolyn Lambert who has called on residents to voice any concerns they may have.
The matter will be discussed by the committee at 37 Church Street, Seaford at 6.15pm.
The application will then be heard by Lewes District Council which will make a decision.
