NINE out of 10 Southern trains arrived on time at their destinations over the last 12 months.
This is the most consistent level of train performance that the Southern network has ever achieved, a Southern spokesperson said.
Figures just out show that in the past year 90.3 per cent of Southern's Sussex Coast trains arrived on time during the weekday peak times.
Overall, when the off-peak and weekend performance figures are taken into account, Southern is now running 90.3 per cent of all its trains on time.
Southern's operations director Andy Byford said, "This is good for our passengers, who rightly expect our services to run on time.
"We have worked very hard on this, and will continue to pull out all the stops to improve this performance even more, and help our passengers see further improvements to their journeys, making Southern an even better choice for a fast, reliable means of transport in London and the South East."
