Blizzards of snow have hit Sussex overnight.
Weather warnings have been issued as road conditions were described as poor throughout the county.

Heavy snowfall has led to 93 weather related calls received to the Sussex Police control room.

East Dean and Jevington were considered to be some of the worst affected villages.

Concerns were raised that many roads had not been gritted and were dangerous for drivers. The Highways Agency issued warnings to motorists throughout the region.

Fortunately police say they have only been called to minor traffic accidents.

Sussex Police control room supervisor Simon Hills said, "We are hoping the snow will clear but the advice from the police is if you don't have to go out, then don't."
