Eastbourne fell silent for two minutes on Sunday as the town remembered those who gave their lives for their country.
The town's annual Remembrance Day service took place at the War Memorial.
The Mayor and the civic party processed from the RAFA Club to attend the service, while the ex-services associations processed from Terminus Road.
The service was conducted by Reverend (Wing Commander) Howard John, RAF (Rtd.) and Honorary Aldermen, Freemen and Past Mayors also attended.
The Eastbourne Citadel Salvation Army Band provided the music.
Later in the day the Mayor visited the Ruth-Less Memorial at Butts Brow, where she took part in a short service and laid a wreath in memory of the crew of US B-24D Liberator bomber Ruth-Less who lost their lives when their plane crashed into the hillside in February 1944.
The commemorations drew to a close with the Annual Festival of Remembrance at the Congress Theatre.
