Welcome to the Eastbourne Herald and Gazette series
Welcome to the Eastbourne Herald and Gazette series
  • The Eastbourne Herald and Eastbourne Gazette series have been providing news to the people of the town and surrounding districts for nearly 150 years. The Gazette was launched in 1859 and was the town’s first newspaper. The Herald was originally called the Eastbourne Chronicle, and came into being as a competitor to the Gazette in 1865. Eastbourne is one of the few remaining towns in the UK which has a midweek paid-for newspaper as well as an end-of-week title.
