Why not build housing instead of a store?

The debate on the proposed store coming to Grove Road continues.

Most of those in the area are against it, for various reasons. Something no one has mentioned is parking. Where do cars park and delivery take place?

Why not turn the building into affordable housing for local people? Lucrative for the council, and it would greatly help the accommodation shortage. More people to use the existing local shops. Surely a way to liven up this special area.
