Why is it that every other Wednesday in Langney we seem to have big white 6ft long canvas bags springing up blocking footpaths all over the place?
On closer inspection these are filled to the brim with plastic bottles. These are the plastic bottles that have been collected by the Councils recycling vans only to be re-dropped at the end of your road.
Problem is that these sacks are left there sometimes up to a week and during the winter months the bottles end up being blown around the street only to be picked up by residents again. If Langney are recycling too many plastic bottles why aren’t they collected the same day and not just dumped at the roadside .
I’m sure they wouldn’t be dumped in Terminus Road or outside the Council Offices so why should Langney be any different.
