I moved to Eastbourne ten years ago and have always been impressed with the quality and diversity of productions staged at our theatres.
We’re so lucky to have such a vibrant scene delivered by professionals , the amateur clubs and even at the fringe events. Of course this includes the pantomime at the Devonshire Theatre.
This year’s production of Sleeping Beauty is the best ever. It’s a wonderful spectacle with talented star performers, terrific musical direction, entertaining dance routines, jokes and innuendoes that fly thick and fast, brilliant sets and a huge surprise in the second half which will take your breath away.
Congratulations to writer/director Chris Jordan, co-writer Ian Marr and all the cast for a wonderful performance.
We must never take for granted how lucky we are to have such talent on our doorstep. I would hate for us to become a theatre ghost town like Bournemouth.
So do support our local theatre and go see Sleeping Beauty and enjoy a fun family show that creates a great feel good factor – oh yes it does!
