We’re lucky to live in Eastbourne

Have your say

At 87 years of age I had a pacemaker fitted on July 9 2013 and feel that I am lucky in residing in Eastbourne and can gain the help of excellent doctors and nurses at the Eastbourne District General Hospital.

To many of you about my age, it might surprise you to hear that the operation can take approximately one to one-and-a-half hours. If you are very lucky you may get Dr Ravi Rayasam and his team, including a very capable staff nurse, Avril Monteith.

One week after the pacemaker was fitted it works fine and without any problem with it.

ROLFE S T AGER,

Schofield Way.
