We are not a clone of other seaside towns

Have your say

REGARDING Mr Rasala’s letter last week, I see nothing wrong with Eastbourne’s Victorian splendour; we have a fair spread of architecture from Victorian, 60s to the modern eg: the Towner.

Obviously Mr Rasala would like Eastbourne to be a clone of every other seaside town, just like all High Streets have become over the years; faceless, boring, looking all the identical.

Modern doesn’t always mean better. If I want a faceless boring predictable seafront, I’d go to Worthing or even Brighton.

No doubt Mr Rasala is happy living in his “box” down at Sovereign Harbour, if he’s not then he can always move.

It amazes me why people settle in a place and then moan about it.

PETER SMITH,

St John’s Road.
