I WAS very interested to see the letter from George Musgrave of the Musgrave Museum in Seaside Road and would like to say how interesting I found the Museum when I visited there.
The exhibition of his paintings are far better than the daub, blob and squiggle paintings and other weird offerings often shown at the Towner Gallery by the “modern” artists who seem unable to paint proper pictures.
His small museum also has a homely character (like that of the old Towner) denied in the concrete shed of the new Towner.
Mr Musgrave is to be congratulated for providing a Museum and exhibition for the town.
Perhaps one day the original Towner Museum will be reinstated showing the history of the town and display the work of the many excellent local artists.
