The public can’t be bothered over rubbish

The likes of M Grant’s letter, sadly has rolled out for years – yet nothing changes, not even extra litter bins.

The British public are clearly not bothered, happy to spend millions each year on street cleaners, rather than educate or sensibly prosecute offenders for anti-social behaviour. Typically Atlantic Drive is daily littered with bottles and cartons; many bottles smashed ‘for fun’ and dogs litter to be trodden in: this in the vicinity of an infant school. Strangely, a bit of sewage in the sea and people get excited, but it’s ok on our footpaths.
