Thanks for what you did for mum

I JUST wanted to write to you with some good news and happy stories about two local businesses.

My mother passed away last week aged 100 and for the last six years she was in Felix Holme in Arundel Road. My sister and I wanted to say that the care, attention and love she received there from the staff could not have been faulted.

These days you only read bad news about care homes and so we just wanted to say that all the staff at Felix Holme were wonderful. Without them, and their efforts well above and beyond the call of duty we are sure that she would not have lived to achieve her ambition of the card from the Queen.

Her quality of life was considerably enhanced by the home.

The other business I would like to commend are 720720 Taxis who for the six years that she was in the home took me backwards and forwards. On my mother’s 100th birthday they took her a wonderful basket of flowers and on her passing sent me a cheque for our chosen charity.

Again I feel that this is the sort of service and thought that is often lacking these days and shows a company that cares about their customers.

It is so refreshing to be able to commend two local companies for offering exceptional service - well done to them both and thank you.

ROGER DAKIN,
