May I, through your columns, thank the angel who came to my rescue, just when I thought that all was lost.
I suffer from PMR and arthritis, so find walking difficult at the best of times, but never like Friday afternoon, when I lost the ability altogether and was in very real danger of collapsing at the top of Hurst Road.
I was scared, when, surprise, surprise, this angel appeared, took my arm and helped me into her car (which happened to be parked at that same spot) and drove me home safely.
It turned out that the angel was a paramedic, but to me she will always be an angel. Thank you for all your kindness at a time of such great need.
