THE TUESDAY O’Hara Fund is an Eastbourne charity which was set up three years ago by Tuesday’s parents after her death from leukaemia at the age of 21.
It raises funds for young adults who are suffering from cancer or leukaemia and are suffering financial hardship. We have also been raising funds towards the new Pevensey Ward (Cancer Unit) at Eastbourne DGH.
We are holding a Thank You Night on Friday, January 28, at the Atlantic Room, Eastbourne Pier, Grand Parade.
This is for our supporters and the local businesses who have contributed their time and money in raising sponsorship over the last three years since the charity was formed.
The mayor of Eastbourne, Cllr Carolyn Heaps, will be in attendance as well as doctors and nurses from the Eastbourne DGH and local GP surgery who cared for Tuesday. It is especially poignant for us as Frank O’Hara, Tuesday’s dad, died last June suddenly on his way home from one of our fundraising events and he will be greatly missed at this important evening.
