Potholes - it’s like being on safari

My neighbour hit a large pot hole near the pier last week and caused £400 damage to her car.

The tyre company said she was the sixth person that week, that amounts to £2,400 expense to the council for one pot hole.

There are thousands of pot holes in Eastbourne. Three quarters of the roads are cracked or holed, our roads are in a shocking condition, as bad as a third world country.

It is like being on safari, many will be impossible to drive down very soon. Last week I very badly twisted my ankle in town at Mark Lane joining Terminus Road. I expect many elderly folk have nearly fallen down like myself.

The roads are not being repaired quick enough. Where does our road tax go?
