SUSSEX Stationers used to have an attractive display of greetings cards showing Sussex countryside scenes by local artists.
When I went into the local shop recently to buy one there were none.
When I asked the manager why, he said that Sussex Stationers had been taken over by British Bookshops & Stationers who had decided to no longer sell those particular cards.
Why is it that when a business is taken over, the new owners invariably change things and only serve to alienate the customers?
I have written to the new owners’ managing director for an explanation but have had no reply.
