Lib Dems voted for CAB grant

THE article on the Seaford Town Council grant to the CAB (Gazette, May 18) completely failed to explain that at the council meeting on April 28, the Liberal Democrats proposed that a grant be given to the CAB for 2010-11.

All the Conservatives present chose to vote against this proposal, despite the clear and growing demand for the CAB’s services.

This was a purely party political decision and it is to be hoped that the newly-elected council will reverse this parsimonious and short-sighted decision as soon as possible.
