LETTER: Write-off after hit-and-run

I’m writing regarding the letters the Herald has received concerning cars being damaged by hit-and-run vehicles. A white van hit my car, which was parked in a lay-by opposite my house, during the night of November 17. As said by the other people, no ‘sorry’ note was left or contact details. My car is a write-off. Even more strange, a white van has always parked in the said lay-by and has not been there since. Thank you, van driver. I have to depend on my car. Are you insured? If so, details please to the police.
