As a pensioner I’m not looking forward to the winter. We have had no bus shelter or appropriate seating for the Meads and surrounding areas bus stop for some months, due to a lorry crashing into it.
They have put a small town bench there (but you cannot sit on it when it is raining). The promise was that when the Arndale Centre is redeveloped we shall get one, but when will that be?
The planning people are now looking into whether they can install one at all now with their financial constraints but surely the firm whose lorry caused the damage should pay.
