LETTER: Trailer park’s not welcome

As a resident of the Meads area and a fully paid-up council tax payer, I love Eastbourne. I love the weather, the pace of life, the seafront and the town events such as Airbourne.

However, the trailer park which springs up at the top end of the seafront during Airbourne gives a poor impression of the town especially during this popular time. The parking bays are suspended so I suspect these are parking here for free. Why?

Surely this is an opportunity to promote the local hotels or get all the campers to park at a local campsite?

It is also a great opportunity to maximise income for the council and charge the visitors when a free attraction is being provided. I have also written to the council and requested a response.
