LETTER: There’s hardly any park left

I quite agree with Mr Carter of Old Town’s letter regarding Motcombe Gardens. It is a disgrace what has happened there.

After removing the sludge from the pond and dumping it on the grass, where are the children going to play, and where are the dog walkers expected to go? There’s hardly any park left now.

How long will the sludge take to be absorbed into the ground? Was it a cheaper option to do this rather than transport it elsewhere to, say, a field? There it wouldn’t be an eyesore and would disintegrate without any inconvenience to anyone. I repeat, it’s an absolute disgrace!
