LETTER: Thanks to the young singers of Bourne School

What a delightful concert the 42 children from Bourne School gave us. Each song was introduced by a different child as the Christmas story unfolded.

The quality of the singing, the military precision of the arm movement in, for instance, the 12 Days of Christmas, and the obvious enjoyment of the children gave us such pleasure.

Their singing of Silent Night in English and German, in memory of that 1914 football match, was very moving. I am sure that the children will treasure their participation in such a remarkable choir as they grow older, and will remember their outstanding teacher with gratitude and affection. They must all have worked so hard, but we do thank them so much.
