LETTER: Thank you and good luck ...

Well there goes another election. I think most of us had had enough by the end. Was it me or did the TV and media absoloutely saturate us with it?

What a surprising result, not that the Conservatives got in but the size of their win. I must admit I was surprised and disappointed for Stephen Lloyd. What a great job he has done for Eastbourne over the past five years as Eastbourne’s MP.

I would like to say on behalf of Eastbourne a massive thank you to him. I have had the pleasure of getting to know Stephen quite well through various charity events that me and my daughter Abby have held in Eastbourne over the past three years. We have found Stephen Lloyd to be incredibly enthusiastic, helpful, hard working and charming. He has attended all of our charity events, taking part, contributing and being supportive and helpful. It is such a shame that he has decided to retire from politics.

Looking at all the thanks and good wishes on Facebook and social media, there have been hundreds of stories of people he has helped. I hope he is feeling very proud of himself and not too disappointed. Thank you and good luck Stephen Lloyd.
