LETTER: Suffering from heavy traffic

Reading Juliet Mead’s column [Herald, August 14], she states that as a resident of the area Morrisons has made no difference to the traffic problems. Well I don’t know which side of the railway line she lives on, but here in Lottbridge Drive we suffer every day, in school term time especially.

The line gates are closed for far longer now since removal of the signal box. Drivers get frustrated and duly block the roundabout. Then add to that not only waiting behind the buses but also the crossing is in constant use. A visit at rush hour will show you otherwise.

Linda Bishop,

Lottbridge Drive
