I do wish people would stop moaning about the vast amounts of rubbish and litter to be seen on the approach and surrounding roads to Eastbourne (and elsewhere). This has been in evidence since mid September when the authorities cut back the grass verges and roadside shrubbery. In a few weeks time all this litter etc will be covered by a new growth of grass and foliage. It will then not be seen again for five or six yeas when these areas will once again be due for another ‘tidy up’ – unless of course some enterprising magistrate considers that the clearance of ‘our’ rubbish might be an excellent ‘award’ when handing out anti-social behaviour orders to other ne’er do wells.
