LETTER: Nothing too much trouble

I would like to thank all the wonderful staff who took care of me during my recent short stay in Eastbourne DGH. My GP saw me within two hours of my original phone call, and one hour later I was in a hospital bed undergoing a very comprehensive medical assessment. The doctors and nurses were kind, professional and caring – nothing was too much trouble – and I was very impressed with the care I received. I have recently read the many criticisms of both the NHS and of our local DGH and feel I must put on record my experience and say how impressed I was with everything – the hospital was immaculately clean and even the food was delicious! Thank you to all the wonderful staff who took care of me both in the medical assessment ward and the cardiology wards.
