LETTER: NHS staff all do a great job

It seems that we are always knocking the NHS staff, and of late but it has to be said but in error local doctors’ surgeries.

My wife and I have now been with the Quinton’s, Hailsham surgery for ten years and in all that time we have never failed to get an appointment the same day as ringing up, often with two hours and in some cases within the hour, how better can that be. The staff, receptionists, doctors, nurses always listen to the patients and in cases have so much patience that it has to be seen to be believed, they are very prompt in making appointments at the hospital my wife needed an X ray and within ten days she received a letter from the hospital with an appointment. We must give credit where it is due and for me its a very big thank you to all the staff at this surgery.

Now to the DGH, I have had both my hands operated on and varies appointments over the ten years and again have no problems. My wife went for her X ray on Thursday it was at 3pm and we were in and out by 3.15pm.

She was attended to by two young radiorgraphers who could not have been more helpful so again its a case that when things go wrong and they do in all walks of life it makes headline news but when things go well and they often do there is no mention. I am sure people can relate things going wrong but for me they all do a great job and without them where would we be, think on.
