LETTER: March is Free Wills Month

March is Free Wills Month, which means your readers could benefit from a free will writing service in Eastbourne while, at the same time, help people living with and at risk of diabetes.

Diabetes UK is encouraging people in Eastbourne aged 55 and over to come forward and avail of this opportunity to have their wills written or updated free of charge by using participating solicitors in the area.

We hope that locals will see this as a great opportunity to support us and their local community, given that in Eastbourne there are currently 9,600 people living with diabetes, as well as around 3,500 who have Type 2 diabetes but don’t know it.

Diabetes is serious – it can lead to devastating complications such as blindness, kidney failure, heart disease, stroke and amputation.

In the UK, there are around 3.8 million people who have diabetes and as many as 11.5 million people are at high risk of developing Type 2 diabetes. Any donations help us support people living with diabetes to manage their condition, as well as reach people at risk of Type 2 diabetes and fund pioneering research.

Don’t leave it too late to book an appointment as they are limited and allocated on a first come first served basis.

Visit freewillsmonth.org.uk to find details of your closest participating solicitors and view information about the charities who are supporting the campaign
