LETTER: It undermines credibility

I thought that giving over your entire front cover to the Conservative candidate was a bit much. I have no objection to candidates advertising in your paper, and I understand that these are financially challenging times for the local press.

And maybe I am biased because I am a floating anti-Tory voter, but I think it was a mistake that undermines the Herald’s credibility.

You have to remember that many people will have seen the front cover but not bought the paper.

They will not have read the article inside where you sought to justify your decision and will believe that the Herald has come down for the Conservatives and against a very good local MP.
