Letter: Don’t ignore the majority

Have your say

What a relief to find so many letters on this subject in last Friday’s issue which totally exposed the incorrect facts as set out by the local authority.

How dare they yet again ignore the wishes of the majority of promenade users and when will Stephen Lloyd stand up for us instead of sitting on the Liberal fence. This morning I witnessed what may only be described as a near-miss when a cyclist came speeding along between two groups of elderly people. A cyclist without head-gear who no doubt thought he was in training for the Tour de France. A cyclist who I am sure carried no form of insurance which would cover injured citizens. In support of one of your other correspondents I too have been in touch with the Secretary of State. I trust that your readers will keep the letters coming and that you will print them.

MICHAEL HARRIS,

South Cliff.
