LETTER: Doing charities great service

Well here we are again, on the eve of another week of world class women’s tennis, sponsored by Aegon for the seventh year, with most of the world’s top women coming to Eastbourne.

Let’s hope the sun shines and the wind doesn’t blow too much.

Could we take this opportunity, through the Herald Letters pages, to say a massive thank you to Julie Preston (sponsorship and events activation manager) and everybody at Aegon for their incredible help, support and generosity in helping us at all our charity events in Eastbourne over the last three years.

They have helped us to raise thousands of pounds for three local charities – the Rockinghorse Children’s Charity, the homeless and the vulnerable working with the Salvation Army, and Families with Autism.

Let’s hope you have a great week in Eastbourne.
