LETTER: Decent and honest people

On Friday, December 18, we went shopping at Argos. On returning home I realised I had mislaid my wallet. I returned to Argos to ask if it had been handed in. Unfortunately it had not. We returned home ready to inform the banks to have my credit cards cancelled, when I noticed I had a message on our answer machine. The chap who had left the message informed me he had found my wallet in the Argos car park and had it in his possession at his place of work (Mercedes Benz) in Birch Road and would I call to collect it. He also went on to inform me by finding my address on my driving licence he had been down to our house, but we were out. It is actions like this and a person like this chap that restores your faith in human society, knowing there are a lot of decent and honest people in our wonderful town. I hope he reads this article to once again say a big thank you.
