East Sussex County Council is undertaking road repairs at the Stone Cross crossroads starting on June 24 for four days which was highlighted in Friday’s Eastbourne Herald letters page, but information on their effect and proposed implications are nonexistent locally.
We know the work will take place and additional road closures will take place during the day, but how traffic will be managed outside of these hours is unclear.
My present information from ESCC, via our district councillor, seems to suggest that between around 10am and 4pm Lion Hill to the railway bridge will be closed which, if true, I have raised concerns about via an email to ESCC.
There is also concern that Adur Drive will be used as a diversionary route outside of the above closure times.
