When travelling into the town from the direction of Pevensey Bay, one is confronted with the most depressing, drab monolith when approaching the mini roundabout into North Harbour. Who determined and who passed the plans for the colour of the facing materials used? A more miserable colour could not have been chosen!
Bad enough on a bright day, but in the autumn and winter months it is the worst colour (apart from black) that could have been used. Dark/mid-grey doesn’t exactly cheer one up on the way into town. It’s too late now, I suppose. I guess I should have closely perused the application plans for this building, when they were submitted by the developers. Would my lone voice have had any effect? I very much doubt it.
Developers, architects, planners and anyone else connected with building works in the future – for goodness sake think what the effect dark drab colours have before submitting your plans. Choose brighter, uplifting colours, please!
