Jevington Gardens

I moved to Eastbourne two-and-a-half years ago from London and I’m appalled at the state of pavements and that they are not cleared of rubbish and leaves.

I personally have to use a walker to go out, it’s too dangerous to walk with a stick.

I have walked down Grange Road twice in the past week. The pavement is covered in leaves both sides and would today be very slippery after the rain last night.

I know car parking doesn’t help, but if they would make a rule for one side of the road to ban car parking it would make it easier, and why not have vehicles that suck up the leaves, etc.

The other issue is at the corner of Jevington Gardens and Compton Street. Two bins have been full of rubbish overflowing on to the pavement, also dirty nappies etc.

We have been in touch with the council and other places to no avail.

There is no name or number on these bins but they don’t belong to the building adjacent.

It’s not nice to continually walk past this eyesore.
