LAST weekend, we crossed the Channel to celebrate a friend’s 60th birthday.
My wife wanted me to drive on Saturday evening. The party was really nice (and so English), and I had two pints of beer (not more because I had to drive!).
Late at night, driving back through Paradise Drive, I was stopped by the police and had to blow in a breathalyser.
The policeman was really nice with me. It was my first police experience in England and I would like the police in my country to be as friendly.
I can say that, like other Froggies, I don’t always appreciate the police, although I believe they are necessary in society but I would be pleased to have a drink with such a nice English policeman. My alcohol test was negative!
