YOU reported that Eastbourne Borough Council in its wisdom opened car parks for free parking in a bid to encourage people to head to the seafront for the so-called ‘Save the DGH’ march.
I look forward to them doing the same for other popular events such as the Lammas Festival and all protest marches in the future.
As for the march, I want to see modern, high-quality health services for Eastbourne.
That is why I prefer to believe the views of our local GPs who, as you reported on page four of The Herald, see the current proposals as a way of improving local health services.
Sadly our ill-informed MP seems to be ignoring the facts and using the campaign in a cynical attempt to gain publicity for himself rather than putting quality health care first.
