I read that article in the Herald last week where advertising vehicles parked in the Lottbridge Drove slip road are causing a distraction.
I have a solution to this that I would like to suggest to the traffic brains at East Sussex County Council: why not re-open the link road and let it do what it was built to do?
Which was, as I recall, to ease pressure on the roundabout and alleviate the traffic leaving town that queues in Seaside.
There must be somebody in the department with the ability to modify the slip road so that traffic using it goes a little bit slower. Maybe narrow the road slightly, or extend the central road island .
The alternative is just to leave this white elephant and devise ways of vehicles not parking on it.
