The Trust Executives have said that all this downsizing is in the interests of a more efficient service for the patients.
But, have they even thought how this would affect the staff from those departments designated to go to Hastings, and likewise Hastings to Eastbourne, who will have to get up in the morning around 5am in order to be at their posts for 7am.
The money they have to spend on fuel to travel there, parking fees and the time spent travelling, and all for the pittance they receive for being dedicated professionals! Can anyone wonder why morale is so low?
Trust Executives think on! I dare say if you were to resign temporarily, you’d give yourselves a nice large severance package! Your plans will not benefit the patients if there are insufficient staff to achieve your aims.
