Don’t consult over parking row

I FULLY support the campaign to stop vehicles parking on Seaford’s pavements and not just those in Seaford.

However, why on earth does East Sussex County Council feel a consultation, possibly expensive, with residents is necessary before any action to resolve the matter is taken?

Roads are for cars and the like and pavements are for pedestrians. Those who feel unable to accept such a sensible arrangement should be given a ticket. I doubt it would take long for the message to sink in.

There really is no need for more street notices; we have quite enough of those already.

Then, of course, there is the ever-growing menace of cyclists on pavements........
