I have long pondered what sort of building could be suitable for a new cafe/sun lounge at the Wish Tower.
I think that I’ve come up with an idea for a two-storey building which, to my mind, would have all the appearance of the central and principal structure of the Saltdean Lido, near Brighton.
A sun lounge on the top level accessed by stairs from inside the cafe below. The sun lounge would have sliding glass/full length windows enabling visitors to access the roof/sun bathing terrace.
This ‘art deco’-type building would have single storey annexes either side of the main structure which would accommodate the cafe’s kitchen, one side, and customer’s toilets, the other. I would be very interested to hear your readers’ comments.
