I HAVE a very simple question for our current MP.
In last year’s General Election, he and his party campaigned on the policy that the British people should be given an in/out referendum on the EU.
Since then of course, the deepening Eurozone crisis is threatening economic growth in the UK and even the existing basis of the whole EU.
Yet this week the MP voted against a referendum. So he has clearly changed his position.
Was it because he does not now believe the British people deserve a say on this hugely important issue; or was this just another campaign promise to be lightly discarded?
