As a major rail contract goes to Germany, isn’t it time we left the European Union?

Have your say

I am angry, together with thousands of others, that the contract to build over 1,000 railway carrages for the Thames Link line will go to Siemens of Germany for £1.6 bn.

A huge blow to the Derby based train-maker and their many suppliers and families.

Siemens, with their financial clout and backed by the German government will continue to outbid for large contracts.

The rules which give the right to bid for UK work come from the EU - who are unelected and undemocratic.Isn’t it about time we were out of the EU and making decisions which affect the British people?
