THERE was a Japanese theme to the half-term art workshops at the Towner Gallery.

Children aged between five and 11 years old enjoyed the sessions which included the creation of some fantastic paper kimonos and Japanese warrior outfits, with a bit of help from Sussex artist Rachel Cohen.

The theme was a homage to Japanese sculptor Tomoaki Suzuki, whose well-attended exhibition at the Towner concludes on Sunday (March 6).
