Youngsters raise money for children’s hospice

Three Eastbourne youngsters have been raise funds for Chestnut Tree, the children’s hospice service for East Sussex.

Josh Ndubuisi, a pupil at Eastbourne Academy, decided to undertake a sponsored bike ride after he took part in a fundraising event at his school. Josh, 13, is a keen cyclist and planned the route himself. Josh did a 10-mile cycle from Eastbourne Pier to Pevensey Castle and back again, raising more than £100 for the charity.

Young Tollgate School pupils Natalie Caley-Hume, 10, and Emma, 11 also took part in a sponsored event.

They raised £200 to walk along Eastbourne seafront to Holywell Café.
