CHANCES are you might have seen this poster dotted around railway stations – but now you can have it hanging in your front room.
Holly Blackman’s A Taste of Eastbourne won first prize in a competition held earlier this year to find a new advert to showcase the town at stations in London and nearby Brighton.
Since then the budding local designer has flown to New York to discuss a host of job opportunities and successfully completed her degree course in illustration at Falmouth University.
For now though she is hoping to see her winning piece pop up in as many places as possible.
It goes on sale this week from the Tourist Information Centre, priced £4, and is also available from Eastbourne Framing Centre in Terminus Road.
Eastbourne Borough Council’s head of tourism, Councillor Neil Stanley, said, “We are delighted to have the winning Great Eastbourne Railway Poster now on sale at the Tourist Information Centre.
“We hope that visitors will purchase a copy as a souvenir of their visit to our town.
“The traditional Eastbourne railway posters have always been a best seller and we are excited to have the winning poster extending the designs available.
“This poster offers a fresh, contemporary take on the traditional posters and really does offer a very brilliant ‘taste of Eastbourne’.”
